Where did August go? Seriously, I really don't know. Every year I know that once August hits, summer is really over for me and I have to send my girls back to day care soon and I go back to work. This year it was no different. However, I can say that life is returning to normal again after several crazy weeks for this Momma! The last 2 weeks I have been pulling 14 hour (plus more on some) days at school. This week, I vowed that I would be in the car by 4:30 and on my way to see my family. I have now done it 2 days in a row. Yesterday, Hunter pulled out the bikes and the girls rode to the park on their bikes with Momma Daddy getting in a good walk. Hope actually rode on the push tricycle. It is the 1st time in a year and half that she has not screamed bloody murder when we put her on it. She was so proud. Grace was riding her bike like a champ and discussing with us that maybe one day she will be ready to take off her training wheels. We played at the park for over an hour and went home to eat PB&J sandwiches with strawberries and tomatoes. Yummy! Both girls were asleep within minutes of getting in bed.
Sometimes, I know that I let work get in the way but these are days I love the most with my family! These are the kind of evenings that my girls will remember and I live for. I am so blessed in more ways that I could have ever imagined. Thank you Lord for my sweet, vivacious girls and my loving husband. Thank you for entrusting Hunter and I with the souls of 2 precious angels.
