Vampires, Strep, and A Diet...

What a combination! It is only Monday night and it has already been a week. I was home with Grace last Tuesday and Wednesday with her running a fever. We just thought we were better. After church yesterday, Nano discovered she was running a 101 temp. (I am so sorry to all friends whose kids were exposed at church). Last night, it spiked to 102.8 and this morning it was 103.5. Nano stepped in and took the day off to take care of her and go to the doctor. We are now on meds for our 1st case of strep. Looks like Mamma is going to be home again tomorrow. (Daddy has not sick days accrued yet as his new job).

Hunter and started our new diet today. High protein and very controlled carbs in my 6 little meals I am eating each day. Of course, it would be the day that I have kids bringing me yummy treats. One of babies from last year brought me a chocolate cupcake with butter cream frosting.... UGH! I had to tell Kate to WALK AWAY WITH THE CUPCAKE! Thanks Renee for letting me get a good whiff. TORTURE!

My highlight... I am totally enthralled with a series of books I really had no desire to read! TWILIGHT! Nano gave them to me this weekend on Saturday and told me to read them because they were actually kind of good. Needless to say, I am oddly fascinated!! I read the 1st book in less than 24 hours. It was painful this morning when I had to get up at 5:30...I was up until 12 a.m. reading! So Shara, you told me I needed to get on the bandwagon last weekend and I am. I wonder if I can finish another book while I at home with a sick Grace tomorrow??? Maybe having to take off a day to be home with a sick baby is not so bad after all…

Life is A Highway!

Our girls LOVE to sing. They demand music in the car and are always singing (what can I say, it runs in the family). Hunter bought me an MP3 player for Christmas to see if I liked having something like that before he bought me an iPod. I promptly downloaded a bunch of my old favorites. Among them, 2 of my favorites: Life Is A Highway by Rascal Flats and She's In Love With the Boy by Trisha Yearwood. I burned all the songs onto a disc so I could listen to them in the car. Every time we get in, both girls start hollering to hear their favorite song!

Hope is convinced that Life Is a Hghway is hers and hers alone! She does not know the words yet but can get a few that end some of the verses. She also has down the little yells that the guys do in the song. It just tickles me when she hears it. She starts giggling and yells out "Dis my song Mama! Dis is Hopie's song!". It makes my heart sing!

Grace on the other hand has decided that she LOVES the song She's In Love With the Boy. She sings it all the time even without the song playing. She knows it by heart and corrects me if I mess up on it. We were baking cupcakes yesterday and the girls asked me to play the "good music" we listen to in the car. Of course, I turned it on. I walked into the garage to get something and came back in to find Grace standing on the kitchen table dancing (she gets this talent from her Daddy!) and belting out her favorite song. I had to get it on video. Hope soon joined her and I was cracking up. They will hate me when they get older and see this! Make sure to go down to the bottom of my blog and pause my music player if you want to hear her.

Mom - I know this will tickle you! Please be sure to show it Grandma Doris and Papaw next time they are at the house. Nano- you need to send this to the aunts!

A Perfect Day at the Park!

Needless to say, we are loving being off for Spring Break. It makes me long for the coming summer when I can be home with my babies everyday for 8 weeks! Wednesday, we headed to Bear Creek Park and it was a gorgeous day! The girls played on the climber, made friends, and had a picnic. We attempted to feed the ducks, however, the ducks were a little bit over fed and not having anything to do with our taste morsels! We picked dandylions or wish-puffs as our girls call them and searched for flowers. The girls both wanted to go swimming but we had to tell them it was still at little bit too cold! Bring on the warm weather!

Visions of what is to come in about 12-13 years!

Taking a little break!

Make a wish!

Hope LOVES her Cheetos!

Daddy and his girls.

Grace took this picture of her Mommy and Daddy. I was kind of scared to give her the Cannon but she did a great job! Hope was supposed to be in the picture but her sister cut off her head.

Who's That Girl and the Silly Gooses!

What do you do when you are tired of messing with a mane of long hair? Why chop it of course! I did not tell many people that I was going to cut it so everyone was extremely surprised! My friend, Jeff, cuts my hair and I thought he was not going to do it. After a little convincing and flipping through the 20 some-odd photos I had marked in a magazine, he chopped off 8 inches! I absolutely LOVE it!
Since I showed the pictures of my new doo, I thought you might get a kick out of the girls pictures. They celebrated Dr. Seuss' Birthday at school with a different theme every day. Monday was "Crazy Hair Day" and the girls thought it was too fun! Both their teachers said that our girls had the "craziest" hair!

A few Saturday's ago, we had a lazy day at home and then got dressed up to go out for dinner. I couldn’t resist taking the girls pictures!

Gotta love my girls!Sometimes I just crack up at my cutie patooties! They do not shy away from the cameras!
Don't you just love the 80's style outfit! Grace saw it and fell in love with it. She had to have it and I could not resist! Check out the silver shoes!!!!

My favorite silly gooses!
