Sick of Being Sick!

We started daycare in January and it has been one thing after another! Before, we were in an in-home daycare and we seemed healthy. Our poor girls have been out of school so much with one bug after another! Yesterday, it hit us again! I got a phone call that Grace was sick with a fever and once I got her home and took her temperature, there was not one. I took it several times last night and it never went back up above 99! They could not go to daycare so Momma had to take the day off! We went and had pictures done this morning and had a blast! Grace got her recital costumes about a month ago and we still had not gotten pictures made in them. Well, we resolved that one today! Here are some of the pictures taken this morning...

Praying For Ella Mae

Please keep Ella Mae Morison in your prayers. My sweet friend Addy and her husband Gabe gave birth to a beautiful baby girl on Wednesday, April 22nd . Before she was born the found out that, she was diagnosed with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (underdeveloped) areas of her heart). After her birth, they discovered she has coarctation of the aorta (a narrowed aorta) and her aortic valve is too small. So now the team has to determine whether to go the single ventricle route (treat her as a HLHS patient, which means 3-staged surgeries) or they will take another approach that would reconstruct the aorta and expect the left ventricle to fully function and they would hope that it can do the job of supporting her.

Addy and Gabe are working with a team of doctors are trying to decide what the best course of treatment is. Her doctors are leaning towards a procedure called the Norwood Procedure. Her first surgery will probably be on Tuesday. Please pray for Addy, Gabe, and Grady that they will find peace in this situation. Also, please pray for the doctors that God will guide them in their decision and that they will have his healing hand with them to guide their work with Ella. Most of all, pray for precious Ella. Easter Photos

We had a wonderul Easter! It was a little overcast by the tornados that ripped through my hometown in Mena, Arkansas. Most everything about a block east, south, and north of my parent's house was devistated. This is the 2nd tornado in 15 years to come through their part of town or literally down their street and over the house. We are just thankful that all of our family and friends are safe and sound. With over 600 homes that wer either destroyed or are uninhabital at this time, you are so thankful for the little things! Thank you to everyone who has pitched in there to help out and to all our loved ones there, we are praying!

Hunting for Easter Eggs with Daddy at the church Easter Egg Hunt!













This is Grace's friend, Camille, from church whom she just adores. She is about 6 months older than Grace and is just the cutest little thing. We know so few girls that are Grace's age. It is so fun for me to watch them play and interact! They are both very girlie!

Mr. Charlie is one of the most wonderful men you have ever met in your life! He is one of the elders at our church and his passion is teaching children about God. Both he and his wife are so loving caring. Our girls hang on his every word. They cannot enter a room that he is in with out running to him. It never fails, Mr. Charlie drops to his knees and wraps his arms around them! He has become such an important figure and role model for our girls and we are so thankful that God saw fit to put Mr. Charlie in our lives! Everyone needs a Mr. Charlie! He and Mrs. Mary, along with the other volunteer, worked so hard on this Easter Party for the kids. Thank you both for loving our children, teaching them about loving God, and for all the wonderful memories you have given our family.

For the past 3 years, Nano and Poppi have had to hide the Easter Eggs in their house due to rain. The girls think it is no big deal!

We are proud to introduce the newest addition to our family, BELLA our Labradoodle!

Mega Post: Wild Rides, Airplanes, Sisters, and Tee-motes

What can I say… life is good! We have 2 beautiful girls that bring us so much joy and it is never ending. I have so many pictures that I have wanted to post and it just has not happened. Well, here is my mega post! Some of the pictures are from Spring Break and some are from this last week.



We took the girls to 6-Flags on St. Patrick’s Day during Spring Break and had a wonderful time! It was a gorgeous day and the girls wanted more and more rides. Greg Ellis (Big ol’ Dallas Cowboys football player) and his kids were there and Hunter was somewhat giddy. What can I say!

A couple of years ago, some friends from our old church, Lake Cities C of C introduced us to this great little diner at a tiny little airport near Saginaw. The girls love it. Not only do they have fantastic hamburgers but also you can watch all the airplanes take off and land because it is right on the runway. Hunter had never gotten to go with us so it was actually his idea to go. It is one of the girl’s favorite places to go during the summer. Anyone up for a trip to the airport this summer?????
Hunter has always wanted to get his pilot's liscence ever since he was a crew chief on the UH1 Helicopters in the Army. They only wanted $30,000 for a plane build in the 60's and was missing the rear engine and several other very impportant parts! Yikes!

Here are just a few pictures that we snapped over the last few weeks. Our girls love each other so much. It is funny because Grace tries to baby Hope so much. However, Hope turns around and tortures her big sister. It is kind of like the old song “Sisters” from White Christmas. One of the lines goes… Sisters, Sisters, there were never ever better sisters! I can’t wait to see how they interact as they grow up. It is my prayer that they will love each other and always be friends. I hope and prayer that they are blessed to have the kind of relationship that I have with my wonderful and loving big sister, Ronda! Love Ya Sis!







I am always mad at myself for not writing down the funny things the girls say. Tonight, Hope had me smiling with her funnies. She is growing up SOOOOO fast and it makes rather me sad. She is so smart and tries to do everything her sister does and more. Here is one our conversations this afternoon. TO set the stage, she and her sister had gone over and switched the T.V over to the DVD player and inserted Peter Pan, Return to Never Land.
Me: Hopie, what are you doing?
H: Mom, I am getting the Teemote.
Me: The what?
H: The TEEMOTE Mamma. You need to listen to Hopie. (hmmmm… wonder where she got that line from. )
She successfully got the remote off the counter and was so proud of herself. I love her little words and funny expressions. She is growing up so fast and soon her words will be so clear. I will miss hearing “Mommy, I LUB you!” and her little, well, rather big gasps when something happens that is followed by “Oh, my Goobmess Grascios!” My sweet girl, you make your Mama’s life a little brighter! I thank God he brought you into our lives every day. You were the best surprise Mommy could have ever hoped for!
