The Best Lemonade Ever!

As we were packing to come to Grandma & Papaw's house yesterday, the girls decided that they needed to pack a bag of their own. Yes, it had to include their favorite stuffed animals, Barbies, a few other toys, and oh and yes, lemons! Grace went to the fridge and got out the 3 lemons we had, packed each one in a zip lock bag so they would not make a mess on their toys, and then promplty packed them in the suitcase while I was upstairs packing. She ran to tell me that she had done this and all I could do was laugh. She said she had to bring them to Grandma's house because she made the best lemonade.

This morning, my mom catered to our little darlings request to make homemade lemonade. They got out all the necessary supplies and went to work. The girls said it was the best lemonade they ever tasted! I know I need to get busy and put this in their baby book! Here are a few pictures...

Little Moments

It is always those little moments that you do not want to forget! Yesterday, it was Grace coming down from her nap and I had made her favorite Peanut Butter and M&M cookies. She was so sweet. She told me, "Mommy, you are the best mommy! You always take care of me and you make the best cookies too!" This morning it was her waking me up as she crawled in our big bed and snuggling up next to me. She even offered me her silky. If you really know my girl, you know that is true love. I think the best is when we asked her what she was going to ask Santa for she replied, "Love! Everyone needs more love, right Mama?!". My 4 year old is so insightful and spiritual. I look at her and I see God in ways I never had before. I see him through my child's loving eyes.

Today, it was my "Hopie-Lopes" (yes, she will hate that nickname when she gets older!). The little smiles and kisses she gives and her holding my arm as I folded the laundry telling me "I help you Mama, I help!". We were in Best Buy tonight and kept chasing me and then running away yelling, "You can't catch me Mama! You can't catch me!" Her little laugh was echoing through the store and gaining the smiles of everyone we passed, all of us laughing. After we got our p.j.'s on, it was watching her touch the ornaments on the tree. She loves the red truck that was the ornament we bought for her last year. My girl loves trucks and cars! In her funny little voice she kept saying, "Dis my car Mama? Dis is Hopie's car! I love my car Mama!" She was taking ornaments off the tree, moving them around singing "Jesus Loves Me" and having the best time. I use to wonder before I had Hope how I could love another baby as much I did Grace. When we discovered I was pregnant, I found out. It came immediately! I know God blessed my life with Hope to show me how deeply I could love.

These 2 girls have brought us so much joy and love. Maybe one day they will read these little tidbits of their Mama's rambling and get a little tingles of joy over the little moments that make my day!

Party Time!

We had a "Tinkerbell Birthday Bash" for G last night and had a wonderful time. All the kids played in the sand, bounced in the little bounce house, and had a blast with chalk on the fence. It was great to see so many of our friends that we do not get to see that often. Thank you to everyone for joining in our fun. And a Huge thank you to Nano & Aunt Nicki for helping us get everything cleaned up! God has blessed us such wonderful friends and family! I added a few pictures below. However, I am new to this and there is HTML code in my view and I don't where the pictures start or stop! I think that I may have a few of them twice but I can't figure out how to take them off! Enjoy the pictures!

As we were cleaning up last night, Hunter made the comment "Somebody said we had a party but I think I missed it!"

4 Years?

Tonight, I tucked my 4 year old into bed. My 4 year old? How did my tiny baby grow so fast? It is so hard to believe that this time 4 years ago, we were holding our baby girl for the first time. G is so smart and funny. She drives her daddy crazy and she is just like him. :-) She has become such a little lady with the vocabulary to boot. Papaw has taught her what "omnipotent" and "omnipresent" means (if only you could have seen the manager in the shoe store as she told him all about both words) and daddy’s new word for this week has been "aspirations". She insists that she is an adult all because she wants "to drive a car all by herself and drink out a glass cup!" Evidently, she hates drinking from plastic cups (yes, these were her words last week). If only being an adult was so easy!

G is a wonderul and loving big sister. Well, most of the time. She and H were so sweet last night as they played Barbie's in her bedroom. They were both pretending to mommies. H has been singing "Happy Birthday to her all evening.

As we snuggled in her bed tonight, reading The Pokey Little Puppy, she told me this was the best birthday ever. We woke her up this morning singing "Happy Birthday", took cupcakes (bright pink ones) to Mrs. Amanda's, went to Sonic to enjoy her favorite Meat & Cheese only hamburger on the picnic tables they have outside, and ended her evening with tap and ballet class. She had us laughing as she pushed the button and attempted to order her own dinner at Sonic . Oh to be 4! A few months ago our preacher Lyle said that we see God in the quite moments. Even though the day was not so quiet due to her excitement, I saw HIM in the joy of my child today and had to share it with our family and friends. Happy Birthday my Goosey G Girl!

So now my blog is started , hopefully I can keep up with it. Time flies so fast and we are so busy. We always seem to forget to send out pictures, send emails to tell our family and friends that we are thinking about them, and yes, to do the laundry. Yes, time flies when you are having fun. I choose the scripture "Be still and know that I am God" because it so true. Sometimes you just have to be still to see and hear HIM...
